Creating a Smile You Want to Share

Good oral health should always come first, but the appearance of your smile matters, too. It’s easier to feel confident about your appearance when you have teeth that you’re happy to show off.

Dental veneers are a cosmetic treatment option that is often recommended to help create a brighter, more even smile. They are attached to the front of teeth to hide cracks, stains, and even small gaps between the teeth.

At Smyth Dental Centre, we want to help create a smile that you want to show off. Contact our dentists today to learn more about how you can achieve the smile you want using dental veneers.

What to Expect from the Veneer Process

You will start with a consultation appointment with your dentist. Once you and your dentist decide that veneers are the right option for your smile goals, you will have another appointment scheduled. During this visit, your dentist will take an impression of your teeth which will be used to create your custom veneers.

These veneers will be made to fit the shape of your teeth in the desired colour. Once made, you will visit the dental office again. This is where your veneers will be bonded to the fronts of your natural teeth.

Once your veneers have been placed, your dentist will provide you with basic care information such as avoiding teeth grinding and hard foods, brushing and flossing daily, and keeping up with routine professional dental care.

The Benefits of Veneers

Dental veneers give your dentist the opportunity to alter the appearance of your smile and meet your smile goals, with minimally invasive techniques.

Some of the cosmetic issues that veneers can address include crooked, cracked, or stained teeth. They can also reduce unwanted spacing and change the size of your teeth.

With proper care, such as routine dental examinations and a consistent oral hygiene routine, your veneers can last for many years.

Contact our team if you would like to schedule a consultation to find out if veneers may be right for you.
