Meet Dr. Michel Jean

Dr. Michel Jean earned his degree in 2000 from Laval University in Quebec City. He joined the Smyth Dental Centre in 2003 after starting his career in his hometown of Kapuskasing, Ontario. He became a partner in 2005. He practices interceptive orthodontics with children and offers orthodontic services to his adult clients. He is also a member of the International Association of Orthodontics, Ontario Dental Association, Canadian Dental Association, and Ottawa Dental Society.
He is fluently bilingual and enjoys all aspects of dentistry. He aims to gain the trust of nervous patients and help to convert them into patients who no longer fear coming in for dental appointments. He has participated in continuing education in orthodontics to help patients obtain beautiful smiles using either braces or clear aligners such as Spark Clear Aligners.
An avid outdoorsman and woodworker you may find him enjoying mountain biking, sailing, and skiing with his family.
